Installation Steps
1. Find the right place: Place the UV steriliser near the aquarium filter or pump. Itshould be placed on a stable surface that will not be moved.
2. Find out the flow rate: Look at the UV steriliser specifications to find out therecommended flow rate. This will help you calibrate the pump if needed.
3. Prepare the pump: If your steriliser uses a dedicated pump, install it according tothe manufacturer's directions. Be sure it will accommodate the flow rate requiredfor the UV steriliser.
4. Connect the hose: Connect one end of the hose to the output side of the pump(or filter) and the other end to the inlet of the UV steriliser. If the steriliser has anoutlet, attach another hose from the outlet back into the aquarium or filter.
5. Use hose clamp (optional): If the hose is not secured, use a hose clamp to preventleaks.
6. Fill the UV steriliser: Fill the UV steriliser with water before turning on the pumpto avoid air pockets.
7. Connect the UV Steriliser: Connect the UV steriliser to the power supply. Makesure that the power switch is off before plugging in the power supply.
8. Activate the pump: Switch on the pump to initiate the water circulation. Check forleaks at the connections.
9. Activate the UV steriliser: Once the pump is running smoothly, activate the UVsteriliser.
10. Performance monitoring: Keep an eye on the flow rate and verify the correctoperation of the UV light. Most sterilisers have an indicator light to show the UVbulb is on.
