Installation steps:
1. Choose the right location: Place the UV sterilizer near the aquarium filter or pump. It should be placed on a stable surface that will not be disturbed.
2. Determine the flow rate: Check the specifications of the UV sterilizer to find out the recommended flow rate. This will help you adjust the pump if necessary.
3. Prepare the pump: If your sterilizer requires a separate pump, set it up according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure it can handle the flow rate required by the UV sterilizer.
4. Connect the hose: Connect one end of the hose to the output side of the pump (or filter) and the other end to the inlet of the UV sterilizer. If the sterilizer has an outlet, connect another hose from the outlet back to the aquarium or filter.
5. Use a hose clamp (optional): If the hose is not fixed, use a hose clamp to prevent leaks.
6. Fill the UV sterilizer: Before turning on the pump, make sure the UV sterilizer is filled with water to avoid air pockets.
7. Plug in the UV sterilizer: Connect the UV sterilizer to the power supply. Make sure the power switch is off before plugging in the power supply.
8. Turn on the pump: Start the pump to start the water circulation. Check the connections for leaks.
9. Turn on the UV sterilizer: Once the pump is running smoothly, turn on the UV sterilizer.
10. Monitor performance: Pay attention to the flow rate and make sure the UV light is working properly. Most sterilizers have an indicator light that shows that the UV bulb is on.
