I. Preliminary Preparation and Installation
1.Inspection of Equipment and Filter Media
•Verify that the filter, aeration device (such as an injector or air compressor), pipelines, and valves are complete and undamaged.
•Select manganese sand with an MnO₂ content of ≥35% and a particle size of 0.5–2 mm, combined with quartz sand and pebbles as supporting layers. Fill the filter in layers to the designed height (≥800 mm), and perform backwashing after each layer to remove impurities.
2.Integration of Aeration Device
•Injector Aeration: Air is drawn in through an injector, suitable for conventional iron and manganese water sources (stable inlet water pressure must be ensured).
•Air Compressor Aeration: Use an oil-free air compressor combined with a pipeline mixer to inject air into the inlet, suitable for high-concentration iron and manganese water (iron > 5 mg/L).
•Aeration Tower Aeration: Raw water is sprayed layer by layer through a sprinkler system, allowing full contact with air, suitable for large-scale systems.
