Production Process

b. Fibre formation: The chosen fibres are then transformed into continuousfilaments by various processes such as extrusion, melt spinning or solutionspinning. These filaments are then gathered together into a fibre web or mat.

c. Web Bonding: The fibre mat is bonded to improve its structural integrity.Thermal bonding, needle punching or chemical bonding techniques are usedto form a stable, robust filter material.

d. Mechanical treatment: The bonded fibre web may undergo mechanicaltreatments such as calendering, needling or other treatments for improvingits uniformity, strength and filtration efficiency. These processes serve to alignthe fibres and create a denser network for effective filtration.

e. Finishing and Cutting: The finishing treatments are the last step to optimisethe surface properties of the filter material like hydrophilicity orhydrophobicity depending on the application. Then the material is cut to thedesired dimensions for various filtration systems.
