Fully automatic backwash filters (self-cleaning filters) include automatic backwash quartz sand filters and automatic backwash activated carbon filters. Automatic backwash operation is achieved by adjusting the electric valve by setting time or pressure difference. Generally, automatic control valve and PLC microcomputer or time relay control are used.

1. Advantages of automatic valve control: low price, easy to install, debug and operate. Disadvantages: The flow rate is within 30 tons/hour.

2. Advantages of PLC fully automatic control and time relay: the flow rate can reach 120 tons/hour and has multiple control points. Disadvantages: The price is relatively expensive.
