1. Introduction to Quartz Sand Filter As the name suggests, a quartz sand filter (sand filter for short) is a filter filled with quartz sand. It's commonly used as a pre-treatment device for pure water and mineral water systems. It primarily intercepts and adsorbs silt, colloids, metal ions, and organic matter through the filter media. Commonly used in water purification and sewage treatment, it's widely used due to its pollution-free, low price, and low operating costs. Common filters are made of 304 stainless steel or carbon steel, and are typically treated with epoxy or rubber lining for corrosion protection. Common upper water distribution systems include bell-shaped and hanging basket-shaped distribution, while lower water distribution systems include flat plate, dome plate, and stainless steel tubular distribution. Distributor caps include ABS mushroom caps and stainless steel cylindrical wire-wound caps. Because backwashing of quartz sand filters is a concern, the typical water distributor's flux is approximately three times the operating flow rate.
 

2. Application scope of quartz sand filter: It is suitable for drinking water filtration and other water purification treatments, and is more suitable for the preliminary treatment and circulating water treatment of production water in petroleum, chemical industry, mining, metallurgy, thermal power, printing and dyeing, leather making, food, etc., as well as the recycling of sewage. Other uses of quartz sand: Manufacturing of glass, refractory materials, ceramics, ferrosilicon smelting, flooring, architectural coatings, casting, grinding, etc.
