What Are The Maintenance And Upkeep Methods For Fully Automatic Water Softeners?

The maintenance and upkeep of fully automatic water softeners mainly include the following aspects:
 Salt tank management

use High-purity soft water salt (Sodium chloride content ≥99.5%), avoid salts containing impurities or iodine to prevent resin contamination.

Regularly check the salt level in the salt tank. Maintain the salt level above the brine surface to ensure that the salt can fully dissolve and form saturated brine.

Clean impurities from the bottom of the salt tank This is to prevent clogging of the brine suction tube.
To avoid salt bridges, break up large salt blocks and add them evenly when adding salt.
Resin maintenance

Prevent resin from contacting strong oxidizing agents To remove residual chlorine, it is recommended to install an activated carbon filter or a reducing agent before the water enters the system, as it can contain oils, organic matter, and heavy metal ions.

When the equipment is to be out of use for an extended period, the resin is converted to the sodium form and soaked in saturated brine to prevent dehydration or microbial growth.
Regularly check the resin regeneration effect to ensure the regeneration process is running normally.
Water quality and pressure monitoring
Regularly test the hardness, pressure, and hardness of the influent water, and promptly investigate the cause if any abnormalities are found.
Avoid sudden changes in system pressure to prevent resin breakage.
Equipment cleaning and inspection
Keep the exterior of the equipment clean to prevent dust buildup from affecting heat dissipation.
Check all connections of the equipment for leaks and ensure good sealing.
Observe whether the pressure gauge reading is within the allowable range of the equipment.

Check the airtightness of the ejector and brine suction line to prevent air leakage from affecting the regeneration effect.
Long-term disuse maintenance
Before discontinuing use, the resin should be fully regenerated and converted to sodium-type wet curing.

During the summer when the product is not in use, rinse it at least once a month to prevent the resin from becoming moldy and clumping.

If the equipment is to be shut down for an extended period, it should be started up periodically to prevent internal mold growth and resin aging.
Other precautions

Install a filter before the water inlet during installation to remove suspended solids in the water and protect the resin and controller.

Avoid touching the controller circuitry while the equipment is running, and disconnect the power before any maintenance.
Keep the area around the salt tank dry to prevent the salt water from corroding the ground or the equipment base.

By following the above maintenance and upkeep measures, you can ensure the normal operation of the fully automatic water softener and extend its service life. Specific operations can be adjusted according to the equipment manual and actual usage conditions.
